Cách dùng
Diễn tả hành động sẽ hoàn thành trước một thời điểm xác định trong tương lai
Ví dụ:
- By 11 o’clock tonight, all the guests will have left the party. (Trước 11 giờ tối nay, tất cả khách mời sẽ đã rời khỏi bữa tiệc.)
- By the end of this year, they will have built the new stadium. (Tính đến cuối năm nay, họ sẽ đã xây dựng xong sân vận động mới.)
Diễn tả hành động, sự việc sẽ hoàn thành trước một hành động, sự việc khác trong tương lai
Ví dụ:
- By the time the taxi arrives, I will have packed all my suitcases. (Vào lúc xe taxi đến, tôi sẽ đã thu dọn xong tất cả vali của mình.)
- She will have cleaned the entire house before her parents return from work. (Cô ấy sẽ đã dọn dẹp xong cả căn nhà trước khi bố mẹ đi làm về.)
Dấu hiệu nhận biết
- By + mốc thời gian trong tương lai (By 10 PM, by tomorrow, by next month, by next Monday…)
Ví dụ: By next Monday, the workers will have painted the entire building. (Trước thứ Hai tới, những người thợ sẽ đã sơn xong toàn bộ tòa nhà.)
- By the end of + khoảng thời gian trong tương lai (By the end of this week/month/year/this century…)
Ví dụ: By the end of this year, I will have lived in Ho Chi Minh City for five years. (Tính đến cuối năm nay, tôi sẽ đã sống ở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh được 5 năm.)
- By the time + mệnh đề ở thì hiện tại đơn
Ví dụ: By the time you wake up tomorrow, I will have arrived at the airport. (Vào lúc bạn thức dậy sáng mai, tôi sẽ đã đến sân bay rồi.)
- Before + thời gian/sự việc trong tương lai (Before 9 AM, before the meeting starts, before the end of the term…)
Ví dụ: She will have finished her presentation before the meeting starts. (Cô ấy sẽ đã chuẩn bị xong bài thuyết trình trước khi cuộc họp bắt đầu.)
- Two weeks from now, ten years from now, six months from now…
